A Joyful Movement Studio

Our goal at A Joyful Movement Studio has always been to show our students how easy it is to relax and enjoy life. We conduct classes at corporations, senior living facilities, parks, our backyard gardens in El Cajon, or at your home.

Susan Haymaker ran a successful T'ai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, and Meditation Studio in Kearney Mesa from 1995-2005. A Joyful Movement Studio has been involved for the past several years in research studies through UCSD Medical Center. These studies have been funded by private donations and the National Institute of Health. The studies have shown the very positive effects of T'ai Chi on chronic back pain and the enhancement of the immune system.

Why continue to feel stress? Give us a call and learn simple techniques you can use while you are waiting in traffic, or when you are anxious about a situation. You can easily learn how to turn tension into relaxation with a few simple techniques anyone can use at any time or place.

Instructor

Owner; Susan Patterson HaymakerOwner, Susan Patterson Haymaker, has been practicing T'ai Chi and Qi gong since 1980. She was accredited as an instructor in 1988. Since then, Susan has continued to study under Master Teachers of both T'ai Chi and Qi gong. It is her strong belief that we are all students and must continue to practice with our mentors/teachers.

Susan has successfully operated the Studio in San Diego since 1995. She has taught T'ai Chi and Qi gong classes to everyone; from the corporate world to doctors and nurses; from children to senior citizens. She is also experienced in teaching classes for physically or health challenged groups. Susan has been featured on CBS New, New York, on Channel 10 with Carol LeBeau's "Staying Healthy Report" and on KUSI Morning News in San Diego.

Susan enjoys her work because she feels strongly that everyone needs to learn to relax. It is her goal that each student will feel better when they leave a class than they did when they arrived.
